We are so happy to report that life is back to normal in Fort Thomas! Well, not counting the little whipworm situation... (you don't really want to know, but if you do, just Google "whipworm" and you'll find more info than you ever wanted....)..
Anyway, take a gander at our "reunited" video! The female feeder tried to find the song by Peaches and Herb called "Reunited" but she just ended up snarling about "technical difficulties" or something like that!! So, instead of waiting on her to get that song for us, we just want to go ahead and post our Happy Homecoming video!!! Stay tuned, because ya never know when we may be right back here again, or we may even start a different blog!!!
Hope you all have a great summer and have happy homecomings of your own!

Profusely Proud of Our Papa!
He's home!!!! He's home!!! Our Papa is home from Ghana!!!! We will get to see him in only 12 more hours!!! The feeders are going to take us to our house and we can't wait!!! We will probably pace the floor all night!!! And not be able to sleep!!! And not allow anybody else to get any sleep either!!! The feeders are really excited that our Papa is home from Ghana too!!!!
Be sure to watch for video footage of us meeting up with our Papa for the first time in 28 days!!!
Oh yea, the feeders had some technical difficulties in the midst of all of our happiness and excitement tonight! Their wash machine croaked! We thought only frogs croaked, but sure enough, wash machines croak, too!!! Didn't hop or anything, just croaked!!! Water, water everywhere.... the female feeder said something like "They sure don't make drain hoses like they used to!" And the floor is now all nice and clean ......and finally dry! We tried to take pictures, but remember the smoke problem the male feeder experienced just days ago with the Grasshopper? Well........

Camp Canine Coming to a Close!
Camp has been a wonderful experience for both of us but we can't wait to see our Papa who is almost ready to depart Ghana! We have learned lots of new self-preservation maneuvers here at Camp Canine that we will surely be able to use when we get home! Such as, when evil varmints want what you have, run like the wind (ever seen the movie "Nell?")! When evil varmints want to sleep where you want to sleep, run like the wind! When evil varmints want to drink from the same bucket, you guessed it, run like the wind!! Hopefully we won't encounter any evil varmints in our own backyard (unless Evil Cousin Speck comes to visit), but like those Boy Scouts say "Be Prepared!"
We are totally prepared to pepper our Papa with licks and slurps and hugs and high fives and belly rubs as soon as we see him! Stay tuned and hopefully the female feeder will have video footage of our reunion and we will post it on here soon!!!

B.T.B., The Sequel
You may think the picture over there shows us fighting, but actually, Bouncer is laughing uncontrollably and I'm trying to shush him (hi, this is Jup again) to keep the female feeder out of trouble! Are you also wondering why the title is written in secret code? Well, you may recall an ugly episode only a short week ago that involved a tree standing at a 10 degree angle and smoke rolling from a certain someone's ears. Uh-huh, we are here to report that sure enough, she did it again! Barked the bark AGAIN! At least this time, the tormented tree was pretty big and as she cut around it, the freshly cut grass (ah man, we can taste it now....... ) blew around the trunk and completely covered the gaping wound, so now nobody will ever know!
And that's not all! Oh yes, there is more!!! Uh........ technically, she didn't really mow down the heirloom grapevine that has been in the Kiser family since 1896.... she backed over it! Yep, smooth as silk..... didn't even know she had interrupted family tradition until the stake holding up the vine (a 2 X 2 wooden stake, about 5 feet tall) got wedged under the back wheels.... that sort of posed a problem because then she had to figure out how to dislodge the stake without telling on herself about the aforementioned heirloom grapevine.
We are happy to report that the stake miraculously shot out the back of the 'hopper (and luckily didn't fly far enough to injure any canines or cars), she continued cutting and finally 'fessed up when she came in to take a shower. Well, she told about the grapevine, but sort of forgot to mention the tree trauma! She said something about making the male feeder's favorite breakfast in the morning, and we can hardly wait!!
We also can hardly wait only 3 more days for our Papa to get back from Ghana!!! We really like the feeders and all, and our country cousins are pretty cool, but it's always nice to get back to your own house and your own bed and your own backyard filled with big shade trees (that have never been barked!)!

Tasty tire!
Busted!!! OK, I admit it (this is Jup, by the way)... I chewed up the Tug 'O Tire! I didn't mean to...... we were just playing with it...... but for some reason, the taste of that tire on my tongue... the texture.... it was just too much to resist, so I nibbled a little at first. Then I chewed a tad. Then I gnawed like there was no tomorrow... and before I knew it, the Tug 'O Tire was history! And you had better believe that Bouncer did his fair share of damage, too!
Our Papa (he's gone to Ghana ya know... but he will be back in ONLY 5 DAYS!!!!) bought that big ol' new tire for us right before he left. Hmmm.... wonder if he will mind that we literally chewed up and spit out some of his hard earned dollars? We'll make it up to him somehow when he gets back... with licks and hugs and licks... and we won't even wake him up in the middle of the night to go outside! Well, maybe!
Oh yea, we spent most of the evening inside because it was SO hot and humid outside. But at least we got to watch a really good movie with the feeders! It was called "The Blind Side".... excellent flick, but know what? There wasn't a single dog anywhere in that movie! For that reason only, I give it 4.9999 stars out of 5!

He Did the Crime, So He's Doing The Time!
As you can see by the photo over there, Speck is under house arrest! The funny thing is, he is under self-imposed house arrest after an evil episode involving Bouncer! (Hey, this is Jupiter .... I'm blogging today because my poor bro has had an extremely stressful past 36 hours.... like any other siblings, we like to give each other an ear chew, neck lunge or paw splat every now and again, but when push comes to shove, we have each other's back!)
Anyway, back to the story. We were all just sort of hanging around under the kitchen table this morning hoping the female feeder would drop a piece of her cheese bagel when all of a sudden out of nowhere, a set of snapping fangs appeared and nipped Bouncer's schnozel! Luckily no blood was lost, no tissue was torn, no muscles were mangled.... but poor Bouncer was traumatized once more! He is currently recovering from a seizure he suffered last night around 10:27 p.m. and he sure doesn't need any extra drama right now!
I'm happy to report that Bouncer is bouncing back from his seizure and from his cousin's rude behavior! I'm also happy to report that the female feeder did a nice job at not freaking t-totally out last night when Bouncer seized! And Speck, well, we have to give him a little credit.... after all, he did go straight to his cell after the feeders scolded him! I guess that means he is remorseful.... or just a dang good actor! Hmmmm....... Speck.... remorseful???? Only time will tell! (My money is on NOT!)
Uh-oh... the male feeder just finished breakfast, which means we should have a bowl of kibble covered with an egg/baloney/cheese mixture (it is SO good.... just melts in your mouth...... almost as good as nasty grass!!!) in the next few minutes! We will have to get the recipe for our Daddy so he can cook for us when he gets home from Ghana in ONLY 6 MORE DAYS!!! Yep, we're a little anxious!! Oh... I hear the kibble hitting the bowls now... I'm gone.........!!!!!!!
